Asimakiniseekan Askiy est la premi\u00e8re r\u00e9serve urbaine du Canada \u00e9tablie sur des terres appartenant auparavant \u00e0 une ville. La r\u00e9serve urbaine a \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00e9tablie \u00e0 Saskatoon par la nation crie Muskeg Lake en 1988. Asimakiniseekan Askiy fournit un exemple du potentiel \u00e9conomique des r\u00e9serves urbaines pour les Premi\u00e8res Nations et leurs membres, ainsi que pour les gouvernements municipaux et leurs citoyens. Il pr\u00e9sente ensuite une \u00e9tude de cas sur la creation et les 33 ann\u00e9es d\u2019exploitation d\u2019Asimakiniseekan Askiy afin d\u2019illustrer les repercussions de l\u2019imp\u00f4t foncier et le processus d\u2019entente de services municipaux n\u00e9cessaire pour que les collectivit\u00e9s canadiennes puissent tirer profit des avantages \u00e9conomiques des r\u00e9serves urbaines.
